About the Realm

The game, the maker, and answers to the questions we hear most.

The game

Realm of Knights: The Siege is a real-time strategy game with charming pixel art and a big heart. You start with a castle, a knight and thirty of everything — and from there it's up to you: send pawns to chop wood, herd sheep and mine gold; raise houses, barracks, archeries, monasteries and towers; and recruit an army of lancers, archers, monks and generals to defend it all.

Standing in your way: goblins. Torch-wavers who set your village alight, barrel goblins who ambush from inside explosive kegs, and TNT goblins lobbing dynamite from their ramshackle towers. Every match takes place on a freshly generated island where four rival castles compete for land, lumber and glory.

The game is built in Godot 4 and is designed to feel at home on both PC and mobile — pick it up for five minutes or lose an evening to "one more island".

The developer

Realm of Knights is an indie game, crafted with love by a very small team — the kind of small where the programmer, the designer and the person who fixes the coffee machine hold a meeting by looking in a mirror. Every unit, building and goblin is placed with care (and immediately set on fire during playtesting).
